Policy & Appointment Guidelines
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment so that we can be sure to accommodate you. If you are 15 minutes late or more, your appointment will need to be rescheduled as a courtesy to the next client.
Please arrive with your hair unbound, free of extensions, braids, or twists.
A detangling fee and/or denial of service applies to excessively tangled hair (15 minutes or more), as it requires more work and time.
Please be advised when booking a service such as color, relaxer, keratin, a blowout (silk press), curly style (wash and go), or a curly lesson, and you have not had a haircut in 3 months or more, service may be denied due to the condition of the hair, which may greatly affect the outcome of those services. It may be recommended that you switch your appointment at that time to a haircut, if time permits, which includes services mentioned. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION FOR EACH SERVICE. All services include shampoo & conditioning.
For protective styles such as blowouts, twist-outs, braid-outs, weaves, wigs, etc. that have been worn for 3–4 weeks or more, we require that you wash your hair prior to your appointment. Failure to do so will result in additional fees and/or you may be denied service.
Gratuity is cash only.
Please be informed that if you are late, looking to cancel, or reschedule, DO NOT contact Hair Rules by phone. Please refer to salon policy. ONLY leave messages @ 212-315-2929 if you are requesting appointments in ATL or LA, otherwise contact us @ salon@hairrules.com.
Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment (outside of the 24-hour period the system (Vagaro) will not allow you to cancel). Log on to www.hairrules.com to manage your appointment. We will charge $75 for appointments canceled within the 24-hour window.
If you are 15 minutes late you will have to reschedule, 30 minutes you will be charged a $75 cancellation fee.
If you fail to show up for your appointment, we will charge the full amount of the service booked. You will have no more than 2 weeks to rebook the same appointment without being recharged.
We do not manage guest appointments. If you did not receive an email confirmation when booking your appointment you don't have an appointment. Please try again.
COVID-19 Policy
Masks are optional.
Upon arrival, please proceed to the bathroom to WASH YOUR HANDS. Please stow your clothes in the closet and then make yourself comfortable in the waiting area.
We have complimentary face masks & hand sanitizer.
Do not bring companions during your appointment unless you are under the age of 15.
If you are sick stay home.
