An award-winning hairstylist, Suzette emerged in the industry in the ‘90s. Her clients include Queen Latifah, Mariah Carey, Eve, Ciara, and Kerry Washington. Suzette has been a key hairstylist for TV shows and movies including Barbershop, The Bernie Mac Show, Eve and America’s Next Top Model. Recently she toured with Gwen Stefani on her 2016 tour as her personal hairstylist. One of the most well-rounded experts in the industry, she has developed innovative techniques for texture enhancements, color, wigs, weaves, and extensions. Suzette has been an important asset to top designers for Fashion Week in the U.S. and Europe — for brands including Jean Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood, Calvin Klein, Patricia Field and Moschino.

Jaxcee joined Hair Rules in February 2017, bringing firsthand experience with all things texture. A master colorist and texture specialist, specializing in extensions, curly care and texture enhancers, Jaxcee has a background that reads as a who’s who of innovators in the beauty industry; from Beth Minard and Ted Gibson to Devachan`s founder Laraain Massey. For a decade, she has rebelled against society’s narrow idea of beauty. “Be your own kind of beauty” is her slogan. A frequent contributor to New York Fashion Week, Jackie’s editorial and beauty credits range from Allure magazine to Pat McGrath’s labs. When you sit with her, you experience her tailor-made approach.

Melanie joined Hair Rules in 2016, bringing 20+ years experience in the fashion and beauty industries. Creating iconic looks for the likes of Erykah Badu, Gwen Stefani, Jill Scott, Lupita Nyong’o, Jennifer Hudson, Lauryn Hill and Thandie Newton — her movie and TV credits have taken her all over to world, working onset for films and TV shows including Queen of Katwe, Mother of George, Monster and Crown Heights. She is a member of the IATSE Local 798. Melanie is a native New Yorker who grew up studying oil painting and fashion illustration. She developed her love for fashion at an early age while living in the Garment District of New York. Melanie approaches every session with an artist’s perspective, attracting a variety of celebrity clients to her chair.
